It Takes A Village

It takes a Village to help members of the community reach their full potential and live healthy lives.

MindPeace, Inc., believes in a multifaceted system that provides access to resources and contributes to basic needs and well-being.

This system includes the individual, family, education and training, local organizations and businesses, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals.

Individuals with Mental Illness: Mental healthcare begins with the individual and self-awareness recognizing the need to seek help and support in managing symptoms and living a fulfilling life.

Family: Family members, friends, and coworkers play an integral role in managing mental wellness, receiving treatment, and supporting family members in recognizing and managing symptoms

Education: Educating members of the community about mental health awareness and broadening understanding of mental illnesses is key to offering empathy and support, and reducing stigma so that members of the community will seek out treatment

Community Partners: Local businesses and organizations can provide financial support and other resources, and use their platform in the community to promote mental health awareness

Law Enforcement: Helping members of law enforcement identify behaviors and symptoms of mental illness will empower them to deescalate challenging situations; and also, personally manage symptoms of vicarious trauma

Healthcare Professionals: There are mental health professionals available in our communities equipped to provide evidence-based practices in treating mental illness. Helping members of our community to understand their diagnosis and acquiring skills to manage symptoms are essential.
