What We Do
MindPeace, Inc. is a resource to our communities, locally, nationally, and globally. We are advocates for mental health care and strive to connect those struggling with mental health issues with resources and support that help relieve the burden and stigma associated with mental illness.
With our mission as a guide, we provide the following:
Conduct Mental Health Awareness Seminars
Research disparities in mental health services in communities and propose a diverse action plan supporting equity
Consult with local, national, and international governments to help reduce stigma and to structure quality services that address mental health challenges
Refer and connect persons with mental illness with services and support
Facilitate podcasts on managing mental health, reducing stigma, and seeking professional healthcare services
Conduct classes for Mental Health First Aid Certification (8-hour seminars)
Our Goals
It is the goal of MindPeace, Inc. to be a community leader locally, nationally, and globally in reducing stigma about mental illness and building partnerships that focuses on mental health awareness and supporting individuals and their families in managing mental illness.
Objectives
Educate and train members of the community to increase understanding of mental illness and promote mental health awareness
Help families, schools, and local communities cultivate nurturing, stable, and safe environments that limit risk factors that may contribute to mental health challenges and distress
Support and promote treatment early on during child and adolescent human developmental stages that will minimize the psychological impact of risk factors, trauma, and poverty
Increase access to quality and evidence-based practices for mental health, which reduces mental health disparities among racial and ethnic groups, regions, and socioeconomic status
Identify and help to remediate barriers to mental health care
Help individuals attain management of mental illness while sustaining employment, educational goals, stability, and health living
